Company History
  • July of 1993 Affordable Comfort (known at that time as Aim Environmental Company) began to participate in the Weatherization Program for the Urban League of St. Louis. The weatherization program is a government funded program where they go into low income families homes to do energy efficient measures. These measures include furnace repair and replacements, insulation, window and door replacement and repairs and air sealing. The program first sends a furnace contractor to the home to do an analysis and then clean and tune or replace it if necessary. Once the furnace has been addressed, the program sends a weatherization contractor to do the rest of the work on the home. Affordable Comfort started out as one of the weatherization contractors.

  • 1995 Affordable Comfort became a weatherization contractor for St. Louis County as well.

  • 2000 Affordable joined up with the weatherization program for St. Clair County in Illinois. Soon after, we started doing the furnace work for that program as well.

  • 2002 We got word that the Madison County program was in need of a good contractor, so we joined up with that program as well doing both furnaces and weatherization work.By this time we had offered our furnace services to the other programs as well.

  • 2002 Aim Environmental Company legally became Affordable Comfort of Missouri and Illinois.

  • 2003 Affordable Comfort starts offering services to the public.
